Crash, bang, wallop

We had the range to ourselves today, apart from the cattle as onlookers. There was a hint of rain in the air occasionally but on the whole, it was another very pleasant day. We had a good turnout – SRPC pulled the stops out and produced three members, SEESA/Grove another two and we signed up another new member. In all we had 14 paying shooters.

The only downside was my car being reversed into by an Army Land Rover when I parked to sign off. Needless to say, my car came off worse – can’t open the passenger door. The private from 3 Para who did the damage was out to feed the pheasants for the garrison shoot. You should have heard the surprise in the insurance operator’s voice when I explained the facts. Being an army vehicle it’s not a simple claim.
